My home PC is playing up and I am thinking of replacing it with a laptop, my budget is VERY tight so can’t really spend more than £350.
I only really want it for surfing the web, studying, making video calls and downloading/burning some music (although not a lot).
Any advice as to what deals are available at the minute would be appreciated…thanks!

If you really cant spend any money your best bet would be to get a Netbook as they are very cheap right now
The downside is that the screen is very small and they arent very powerful but they are the cheapest computers currently
Might i just ask, why a laptop? A £350 laptop will be literally the cheapest you can get. That said, a bargain bucket laptop can do all the things you’ve asked here, if you don’t mind the occasional freeze up or slow program.
Desktops, because they are bigger, are cheaper. OR, more accurately, you get more for your money.

The desktop, even a space saving one, gives you more hardware for your money.
If you are set on a laptop, the one i linked will do the jobs you asked here, but nothing more.
P.S. For the love of god don’t get a netbook. They’re fiddly, slow, and far to small for day to day usage, and most do not have disk drives. (So no music burning).
