Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Review

I’ve gone onto Android marketplace and it gives me the option to put my card details in. Somewhere else I read about Google Checkout – which I think is like PayPal? What’s the best way of buying apps through the Android marketplace?

I’m used to Apple and iTunes etc and am new to the world of Android! (But loving my Galaxy S2!)

Thanks for your help in advance!

Set up your Google Checkout account by visiting checkout.google.com and clicking “Sign up now.” Enter your personal information. If you already have a Google account, you can sign in using your Google account username and password and simply add your billing information. You must have a credit card number on file to download paid apps and you must have a Google account to download even free apps.

    2
Access Android Market by pressing the home button, then “Market” on your Android-powered device. If it’s your first time using Android Market, you’ll need to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions, which will appear before you can begin browsing. Browse through the various applications available. You can browse categories, such as games, entertainment or health and fitness, or use the tabs at the top of the screen to filter results depending on popularity or price.

    3
Tap an application icon to learn more about it. You can read the application description, see screen shots and read reviews before you decide to purchase.

    4
Touch the “Buy” or “Install” button to verify your information and download the app directly to your Android-powered device. You may need to enter your password before the download begins, depending on the last time you accessed your Google Checkout account.
