No – they pass through it far too quickly to cause any damage whatsoever
No they won’t damage your equipment whatsoever !
It shouldn’t effect your camera. Make sure your cell phone is turned off though because, it could disrupt your service for a while afterwards. To double check, I’d go on http://www.tsa.com and scheck everything thats what i did on my last trip.
According to http://www.cheap-parking.net/gatwick/security-control.html electronic gadgets passing through the screening process will come to no harm but, if these items are in a bag or briefcase, you may be asked to operate them to prove their use.
