Motorola DEVOUR for Verizon

i dropped my phone in the bath water for like 1-3 seconds and it was fine for like 10 or 20 seconds but after that it starts vibrating. I dried it with a towel and some ear cleaners for the tight areas. im not sure what to do now because im home alone with my two younger sisters. it is a env3 from verizon wireless.
and if ur wondering why being home alone with my two sisters makes it worse its bc MY DAD CANT HELP ME
and theres no rice D:

  1. How does being home ‘alone’ & ‘with’(???) your two younger sisters make this more of a problem?

  2. remove the battery and stick the whole thing in the middle of a bag of dry, uncooked rice overnight, at least 12 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture, and if you’re lucky (and didn’t already ruin the phone by leaving it turned on while wet) it will work tomorrow.

  3. It may be too late to save it, the first thing you should always do is take the battery out and leave it drip dry. The problem is that water with chemicals, bath salts, soaps or watever is conductive and cell phone technology is very sensitive. Best suggestion is to take the battery out, leave the back off and allow it to dry thoroughly then try again. It may be worth your while taking the battery out and taking it in to a shop for repair where they can open it, clean out any residue and posibly save it, but experience tells me it’s finished…you could be lucky though.

This happened with my brother. Turn it off(Or remove the battery). Don’t use it for like the whole day, it should be working by Tomorrow Night or Sunday.

Maybe you should put your sisters to bed then work at and if they get up from bed shout really loud and then your phone will work.

WHY DID YOU EVER ASK US WHAT TO DO. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES DON;T PUT YOUR PHONE IN THE BATH!!!!duh

It’s unlikely that anything is going to save your phone. However, pull the battery out and submerge everything in a covered container of rice. Leave the phone in the rice for a few days. If it doesn’t work after that, you need a new phone.
