I grew up with computers since childhood and I always encounter this strange thing. Almost all companies copy from Apple. When people talk about Apple they say it is a cool and cutting edge company unlike others. Although I accept they are overpriced but their products are comparable to none. First Apple incorporated GUI in their computers and Microsoft stole the idea and sold their software to every other computer manufacturers. Apple was the ones who actually first invented personal computers. If Microsoft had not bought DOS from TIm Paterson from Seattle Computing, IBM would have never competed with Apple. When we get to new products, Apple first brought the iPod and all companies like Sony, Samsung, LG, Zune, Creative and so on started to copy and entered their market. Wen it comes to phone, after Apple released iPhone many companies like Sony, Samsung, HTC, Blackberry and so on copied and entered the phone market. Now I see a lot of tablet pads from Samsung, Dell, LG, T-Mobile, Motorola, Toshiba, Acer, Asus compete with the legendary iPad. Why are all these companies copying instead of pursuing an innovative business or technological strategy.

Ok so theres a story to this. My work mate borrowed £20 off of me to go out with his friends. Then the next week we made a £100 bet. I said Alexander Graham Bell DID NOT invent the telephone but he was the first to patent it. He said he DID. We shook on this bet, I wasn’t taking it seriously because it can’t even really be proven. But he claims he has won the bet and is now not paying me back the £20 he owes me. I wouldnt expect him to pay me £100 and hes not asking for the money for the bet, hes just not giving me my £20. So who would you say is right? and what do you think i should do?
Alexander Graham Bell is what the books tell you. Doesn’t mean its right. just because everyone believes that’s the truth doesn’t make it so. they all thought the world was flat. also if you google who really invented the telephone you get all kinds of people an italian, a german, a woman. im not saying im right, im saying the bet is void.

Like my younger sister for example.She’s always on the phone while online or talking at all hours of the day and night.Screw the people around you.We do not matter.Instead talk to whoever is on the other end of the phone and ignore everyone else around you.

She does this day after day,night after night.I do not call anyone after 9-10 pm becuase they might have to go to work in the morning.I’ve told she is addicted to her phone but she denies it.

Is life like this with all mobile/cell phone addicts? Screw the people who love you more than dumb phone? Are’nt people starting to offended and angry over people’s love of a phone over family relationship?

If they start having groups for people addicted to their mobile/cell phones in the future,I’m referring my younger sister becuase she’s addicted to them.Maybe then she might learn that family is more important than the phone? I wonder how much people will charge for such a group in the future?

This is a interesting story of how it first came about, and this was before even rotary was totaly in.
a engineer in World War II is stuck behind enemy lines and is trying to find a way to call the allies. but the germans were monitoring all phone lines. He neededa way around it.

So he invented a kicker switch. This got around the german lines.

this would lead to the rotary dial and evenrtually the touch tone.
