I read all over the net that spy shops sell GSM and CDMA software that can scan near by numbers as well as locate numbers you already have with google maps, listen in o phone conversations around the phones even with the phone off, i thought this was illegal, especially in the EU

Google doesn’t seem to be helping me out much on this one. I live in Shepherds Bush and I’d like to join a drama group. I’ve never done anything like this before so I was thinking of one where they sort of congregate on a weekly basis and put on productions.

I’ve just bought an Android phone (Xperia Arc), but the setup for the Google account for the market, etc, won’t accept my Google account.

My account was set up with a Yahoo! email address, but the app wants me to use a Gmail account. Is there any way of getting ’round this, other than making a Gmail account?

I like the way the Nokia 6500 sliderphone has a launcher menu with popular websites/apps on it e.g. skype, facebook, google etc…anything similar on the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition?

Otherwise, what’s the easiest way of adding apps to this phone and the best place to save them for quick and easy access.

Google adsense says it will respond in under a week.

They haven’t responded! I checked my email and there was not an email from google adsense program. I logged into the account and there was just the application form with an empty cell phone number box. I clicked the submit button without inserting the cell phone number, is this an optional detail?

How long should i wait!?

Hi,
I had a HTC Hero which I sold to a friend.
Before sending him the phone I Goolged how to log my Google account out of the Hero so that my friend could log in under his account.
The answer I found on a multitude of website was to perform a hard reset of the phone, back to factory setting.
As such, I performed the Factory Reset but the phone was originally Unlocked.
Now my friend is saying he cannot make calls with ihs Tesco mobile sim.
Would the reset cancel the unlocking and revert the phone back to locked to a network?
Please confirm this and let me know asap!

Unfortunately i have been messing around on my new sony ericsson and been playing around with the pattern password , And i have forgotten it :/ My phone is now locked and i do not have a google account which i can sign into. I was wondering is it possible to unlock it without phoning services?

I have a google places account and wanted to change some details however it requires pin verification , which is fine now normally when you request pin verification you get 3 options by phone by text message or by post, but all I get now is by post option,
Why is this happening and is there anything I can do about it

The phone number on yell.com is the global number which gives me a machine and no local details.

I can’t find any reference to local branches anywhere on the HSBC website or even in google.

My girlfriend has recently gone to Uni and we want to be able to speak quite often over the phone – in her halls she has a pay phone and then an 0844 phone number in her actual room.

I know usually 0844 costs more than usual to phone, so I assume Sky’s free evening and weekend calls won’t cover this number and I will be charged. But I’m unsure on if they would charge to call a pay phone?

I’ve done a couple Google searches but can’t seem to find an answer, I didn’t know if anyone else had been in this situation and found anything out?
Does it charge for pay phones as well, even if they start with a normal area code?

To unlock the phone, its not with numbers, its a pattern that you have to draw – you will know if you have this phone.

i just installed google desktop so i can have google calenders floating next to my windows sidebar which syncs with my new android phone. the annoying thing is i get this white google search bar on my DESKTOP which i don’t mind that much but then what does it that its ALWAYS ON TOP. and ideas how i can remove or hide it please.

i have created a google mail account on the computer.
i want it on my blackberry phone & told i could do this.
i wanted to access 2 email accounts on phone (outlook express email)

i went through all the settings, and it said the emails i want to recieve from my personal outlook express email were set as my default

however i recieve no emails from my personal email
