Hi im after getting a new phone on contract (Google G1 on T-Mobile or something like) because mines going to finish next month, but the thing is i forgot how it works when the contract starts. How long after my contract starts do i have to make the first payment? isit the month after i start the new contract? or isit a week or so later?.. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.
when i go to take out a new contract it says i dont have to pay anything there and then.. (Im doing it online).

payment normally starts at the end of the month so every month you are paying for the 4 weeks you have just had

they take money off you in advance first, then take it every month.
It purely depends on your time of purchase. The safest thing to do, is to think that they will take 2 lots of monthly costs as the 1st payment. As you would have been paying for however long you have had it and the next month in advance.
